Is there any advantage to it being bronze, aside from it looking cooler? Better thermal stability or something along those lines?

Feel nicer to use and seem pretty stable.
Wouldn’t want to pay for a biggun in bronze

Started machining a pair cast by the original foundry (im using a iso registered place now) they’re porous junk . That’s £120 down the drain + time etc so Im going to retract from them. Pretty gutted as that’s a fair bit of money just to loose. Might use the pressbrake to teach them for being crap

They are totally porous. Ain't on is it when ya paying for them to have a half a reasonable product.

I wouldn't scrap it id get them good on the mill bit of epoxy they will make general purpose straight edges

By the time the square are covered in splatter you'll never know
