Don’t know where he get all these machines but he is breaking all.

Those missing red caps is a pity ... so easy to loose.
Should be 3D-printed to make the welder good-looking again.
Front panel looks clean, anyway.

We used to superglue the caps on, they just look really second hand with them missing.

Could be a solution.
But I can not handle superglue.
Once if bottle is open it will get everywhere.
Same as thermal paste.
Hate this stuff.

Nice toy delivery today from Germany : a secondhand but neat Rorhman RA420W water-cooled torch, 1 button, Castolin Euro connector, and quick-couplers fitting the Castolin cooler.
This version uses original Castolin shrouds, it was one of my requests.
Little work to exchange the 5-blades connector to a previously-bought 7-pins Tüchel, fill and purge the cooling circuit, leak check : OK.
No more excuse to let the second 2002 on the shelf ...
The pump runs for 3 minutes (timer) after torch trigger OFF, so of course it's noisy compared to quiet welding using air-cooled torch.
The Rohrman torch is easier to handle than te original Castolin G220, better flexibility.
And no need to let tungsten cool down before re-grinding (remember, I'm a newbie with a professional welding machine !).
So ... Christmas gift before the date !!!

Still to do : clean the handle to get the red color back. Cosmetic fit with Castotig covers !

Hmmmmm ... Okay, the trolley needs an upgrade, don't you think so ?

You can by the caps separately if you can find who makes the knobs (or take a guess at the size) - look for 'collet knob caps'

Interesting links !

The big cap is 21 mm outside diameter, the small one is 13,5 mm.
Inside skirts are different, the small one has a centering part on the outskirt opposite to a larger notch (first pict), the big one only has a larger notch (second pict).
This is of less importance as one can fix them with glue or tacking silicone.
Sorry if my description and/or words are not correct english.

Oh, BTW, the Rohrman torch is back to red color, thanks to white spirit, gasoline, acetone, and compound.

They are OKW knobs if memory serves correctly, the caps are not expensive.

I think you would be more likely to find the maker's name / logo on the knob itself (if not OKW as above). I doubt that they are interchangeable between different knob manufacturers unless you get lucky.

Hello again.
Update : I did not find the arrow for the 16mm base knob on the OKW website.
Castolin used thick ring arrow for it, around 4 mm, check the below pictures.
Bigger knob uses standard thickness arrow.
In the meantime, today was also time for cosmetic works on front panels and torch.

Machine with messed up wiring is basically running.
But somebody managed to break secondary IGBT.
I could imagine that it shorts due to not installed driver board while testing.
But that’s owner who maybe did.
Anyway need new IGBT and have a scope on driving side.
Because of fuxxx Covid got a lot of time on holiday.
Better to this than to hanging around on tv.

I know a guy in France who is stuck with his very old 2002 ACDC received for free but in trouble (picture page 5 at #99).
He ordered IGBT in China, but he can't repair it successfully.
This welder has 2 smaller condensers instead of one, for example.
He now stops trying to repair, already 400 euros spent and still not working ...
I don't want it, but could it be a spare parts source for you ?
Problem it's heavy to send, or maybe only interesting parts ...
