If you have 230V on the input and no HF usually this unit is broken.

Sometimes they can refurbish/fix the units for about half the price. Might be worth to send the old unit. When they can fix it you can save some money, if not you can order a new one anyway.

It´s a simple unit without AC syncronisation. Just 230V in and out.
Maybe you can find a used one, but you have to be lucky. And 120,-€ incl Vat is a very good price for a new HF unit which lasts for another 15 years. I would spend that money.

I just found one EGT SIG 3.8 ignition unit in my workshop.
I once thought it was not working, and send it to EGT. But they found it working and send it back.
If you are interested, I could ship it to you for a check with your machine. It might be o.k. and a cheaper option, than a new one.

Fresh news ...
Here's the beast.
I got it without torch nor manual or welding cables.
And the top board with good-looking resistors (I wished they were burned, but no ...).
PCB020 board on power socket side, disconnected by a previous owner without connectors marks.
He also removed the 7 Mosfets behind without any marks ...
One of them has different reference (FRO169) than others (APT5010JVR) ...
Could you help me reconnecting everything ?
For those interested, I found the Castolin 2002 ACDC manual (PDF) in english and french.
Also available, the manual (eng-ger-fr) for the Fronius Transtig 2000 and MagicWave 2000 Fuzzy.@Macfun Could you tell me the value of this resistor please?, can't quite make it out from your pic Thanks
