Hello all My name is Phil from New Zealand I have a Castotig 2002, it had blown the diodes and a couple of transistors on one of the TTS4A boards on the left side of the machine. I have replaced the components and was wondering what the cause was. when I refitted it they started to get hot again. so checked the IGBT that it drives which was faulty.
It is part no 41.0003.0145, on some machines it is part no 4.100.072. it could be a Toshiba MG300M1UK1. if anyone can confirm that would be great

Hi guys. I am Peter from Slovakia. Now I have one TransTig 2000 AC/DC with resistor issue (hope...). Next I want fabricate pulse controller and pedal...have you guys some schematics or instructions, how I can do it?Please. Next step will be change Fronius torch connector because Fronius torch components are very expansive here. Can you please show me how i can replace torch connector? And what connector is most usable?

Thanks for the reply Macfun. I was able to find information about the pulse box and pedal. But I can't find the information about the Fronius torch connector terminal anywhere. It is possible to buy a torch and parts in our country ... but it is so extensive. My idea is to replace the connector with a regular one and use a cheaper torch. Maybe will be need to add switches to navigate in menu to front panel... But I don't know which pin is which ...

I don't know the Fuzzy harness but in principle, just beep the pins from the torch when pressing the torch buttons.
I hope that you have the Fronius torch ... of course.
Then make a simple schematic of it (like I did here : Castolin Castotig 2002 ACDC torch harness pinout | MIG Welding Forum (mig-welding.co.uk) ).
It usually uses 5 wires for a double buttons unit (one common wire).
So a 5pins connectors set is enough.

if you are to cheap to buy a connector you can simply stick copper wire in the pins , solder cable to it and make a connector body with hot glue or epoxy clay . ( like playdo )
