Try the gourmet stuff, asda usually has it reasonably cheap for the boxes of pouches. Our cars love them, so does the folks cat.
You get them either in jelly or gravy.

Dogs and cats are not supposed to eat each other's food. Dog food is bland and doesn't have enough vitamins and minerals for cats. They can go blind if they don't get taurine.

I was up early, and I had some successes with Tom. She allowed me to pick her up and place her on my lap for a brush and comb.

Small steps. she fell asleep to Mythbusters.

We raise our kittens on a variety of wet and dry foods so they aren't fussy* when they go to their new homes. Our own cats are on Iams dry food and nothing but that. The bowl is never empty and they never overeat. The occasional scrap of roast chicken goes their way. I'm not heartless.

Cold food out a tin (that's been in the fridge) isn't appealing to some cats as it's the equivalent of a kill that's been dead for a while and has potentially gone "off".
Cat will sometimes treat a new brand or flavour of food as suspicious. If you put fish down to Kitty for the first time and she walks away from the bowl you might come to the conclusion that she doesn't like fish. She's probably not all that hungry and just unsure of it. She knows the next mealtime isn't far away.

*As long as the food is fresh and nutritious, there's no reason for a cat to turn their nose up at it (unless they've tried it in the past and it made them vomit. That would put anyone off a food.) They're wild animals at heart and wouldn't turn down the opportunity of a meal just because it wasn't flavour of the month. Pet cats are used to being fed regularly or on demand. They can afford to walk away from a bowl now and then.

Turns out him is a her, according to another catist most of them are that have this colouring

Anyway I managed to get some drops of that flea gear on her and bought her a new bed. Also seems to like that cheap salmon from Aldis She has also decided to move into the mancave

That's just the start, wait 'till she finds bigger things to bring home. A cat of ours once had a go at a seagull, it was funny as owt to watch 'cos the seagull was desperately trying to take off with a cat on it's back and the cat was thinking "oh <beep> how do I get off without being attacked".

A neighbour had a cat that brought home a big koi carp, it was about 18" long and still alive, he never found out who had lost it and it lived for years in his garden pond afterwards.

Last night I got to climb up a ladder to get down our cat who had been chased up there by some neighbors cat and couldn't get down. Not a scratch though, she was pretty calm about letting me take her down even though she made some objectionable noises beforehand.

Bertie, rare these days having the old girl in a position she spent many hours as a kitten now she's 18. As I type she's dreaming and twitching away. Photos don't show her as the pretty cat she is for her age.
