Found out this morning that one of the aholes that race up and down my road ran over rennie, shes from a home run rescue on my road. would hang around with me while I was working outside or in the 'workshop'
Be at my door waiting for me to come out every morning.

She was genuinely the sweetest cat I'd ever met.

Gonna miss her.

So our sweet little kitten Rory is now getting out the cat flap (he has just been neutered and is fully vaccinated). We came home to him bringing in his first bird today........ a crow! What will be next........

Wet, cold, starving and a few injuries.
No ID on her.


But a trip to the vet to get her help. We found her chip


The owners are on their way to take her home. 70 miles from me!!!!!!

How she got to me, we can only guess.

But she is warm dry, purring in her sleep.

Yet again, I have two mice wandering about my house, curtesy of The Lodger. He apparently brought both on as a thank you, as I had fed him some very nice chicken that morning.

Unusual for moggies to get crows and bring them in doors as crows are often carrion eaters . People used to marvel that my gundog " Hazel" would pick and retrieve to heel when it was a crow . Perhaps you have a better smelling crow in your locality or a cat with no sense of taste .

Cats often hitch rides in white van men's delivery vehicles etc. when they leave the doors open as they make deliveries .. our regular WVM driver has some interesting tales about such cats . suspect they hunker down behind the seats till escape is needed.

Unusual for moggies to get crows and bring them in doors as crows are often carrion eaters . People used to marvel that my gundog " Hazel" would pick and retrieve to heel when it was a crow . Perhaps you have a better smelling crow in your locality or a cat with no sense of taste .

Following day a small bird was dismantled, the crow was in one piece, you may be right about the taste.

Our current one will stalk and go for wood pigeons. Haven't seen him get one yet.

A previous stray we had killed so many things we called it Orrid. This after the kids, then little, struggling to say "horrid cat". Met it's match one day when it went for the peacock. "Raked" is the best term as in pinned to the floor by Percy and clawed with it's talons. Never tried again.

Tonight Rory does not seem to appreciate the celebrations around the foiling of the only gentleman to enter Westminster with honourable intentions. The noises spooked him
