I have the Katsu version. It has come in very handy a couple of times with restricted access.

Have the same. Don't use it a lot but it has been handy. Can use it in the engine bay in bits the big grinders can't access. The Katsu one is fairly lightweight which is a bonus but the cord could do to be a bit longer.

Same here, tiny/light thing and although corded it is useful for tight spaces and small stuff.
I've a few Katsu power tools and they ok for home use, as they are just simple brushed motors they work well with basic (cheap) speed controllers.



Anyway you can't have too many and not got a battery one in that size

The discs Lidl stock when they have their 3" grinders in aren't actually too shabby.

I've ordered one of the brushless ones. Intrigued to see how it compares to both the Parkside & Bosch versions, & also curious as to whether there's a possibility the Parkside batteries may fit.

As to the original question in this thread, unless I actually need to use a 115 or 125 grinder, I always plump for the 3".

They're lighter, easier to handle, easier to see what you're doing etc. You obviously sacrifice runtime, but they're my grinder of choice.

It's quite easy to do using 3 suitabled sized washers.

I got the same version of that from Milwaukee and had a roloc adapter off ebay ?

Well, I hope you're all happy, I ordered one last night. I've been at the NEC Classic show today and not bought any discs for it, but I have got a few in stock. It'll be interesting to see how much use it gets - I don't use my air 3" cut-off tool much because of the need to run the compressor, so I've exchanged that with a need to charge the batteries. I noticed quite a few people sell them, there's another brushless one for £16.99 but it doesn't have the spindle lock so presumably needs two tools to fit the discs.
