Clarke air filter thread size

Does any one know what the thread size is on the little filters on the clarke compressors?

I have purchased 2 different sizes now and neither fit!

Measure it first? Unlikely to be anything strange - think mine were 1/4 BSP

it or I thought it was bigger than 1/4bsp when I measured the old one.
I purchased 3/8bsp and it was ever so slightly too big.
I just purchased 15mm and that is also too big!

NPT is the same size as BSP (you do not buy one size OD pipe and put 1/2" NPT on it and a different OD pipe and put 1/2" BSP on it. Same pipe accepts both threads). It is just the thread pitch that differs between the two thread series.

If the OP has the old piece, measure it for diameter, eyeball to assess if the thread is taper or parallel, photograph against a tape measure to count thread pitch.

If the male threaded piece is not available, put some blutak on a stick and make an impression of the female thread. Without any other measurement, the TPI will give you a good pointer to the thread.

is it the filter that screws onto the pump? No, the air fittings have a finer thread on them. The air filter threads are a lot courser. Typically, I'm on my rota days tomorrow and Saturday. Give parts a call tomorrow. (they don't work weekends) tell them your compressor model and they will send the right one out to you, not sure of the cost of them, I haven't had to ask! 0115 956 1805

Yes there. Are 2 filters one either side of the pump

those are the air intake filters for the pump. What model is it? direct drive or belt driven?. daft question, but what colour is the compressor. if you can take a picture, that would help a lot
although that sounds to be a 16/550 or maybe even a 16/1050. if there are two filters

direct drive like the one in your pic but its red
