I’ve run two electric cars over the last six years …. The second Mitsubishi PHEV was far better than the first in terms of finish BUT……

…. I want something with which I can do 1200 miles with just 3x 10 min fuel stops, I want and need something that can tow 3.5 tons over the above distances.

someone makes that, I’m all in…,. We have an owned 9.8kw PV array on our barn roof…cool for a bit of running around, going to work within 10 miles ( it has a 20 mile electric radius) but not for serious driving purposes .. if it doesn’t work for us, it’s not going to work for anyone

Put it this way: an average car doing 10k miles a year puts out more than 1500kg of CO2 per year. Horrifying when you think about it properly.

people want there planes for holidays so cars have to come off the road replaced by another form

it happened to the railways where freight was transported by it to the hgvs it will go back

further interests would be to bring a new system called freight trams to get the materials to a depot the structure is still there in many cities

Seriously trams died out for a good reason when busses took over.
A bus can go where it likes.
Now don't get me wrong a tram that people can jump on and off whilst moving and hang out of like in San Francisco would be great but our elf and safety wouldn't allow it these days.

Air travel is always ignored but cars bare the brunt

It would have been a huge tourist attraction as it ran right by the sea but Swansea Council ripped it all up in the 60s.

We have trams here in Manchester, I would like to use them.
But someone thought it a good idea to ban dogs on them. I can take my dog on the bus, they are dirty and unreliable.
I go in the car instead.

And the Hydrogen they are pushing is so inefficient as well.
Don't get me wrong I would LOVE Hydrogen power - but it is so damn inefficient to produce it with electrolysis !

Hi Fizzy, though if you have sufficient clean energy devices to produce all you need and have some left over it matters not a jot if it is a highly efficient fuel so long as it is less polluting .
Stand by for faster less energy consuming water electrolysis to give us the hydrogen and oxygen to run machinery on it.

Fossil fuel is going to run out. So renewables is a question of when not if and seeing has we have to get there anyway why not now on the off chance science is a thing and we are messing with the planet a bit too much?
