cool i look forward to steeling some ideas! lolYes well that’s why I’m making the stand as I am. It’ll all become clear when I get back to it.

I’m really not sure what you mean?Nice build Kim.
Could you a bit of 4” soil pipe as a bin, with a glue on screw cap for the base?
Using a piece of 4” plastic drain/soil pipe with a removable bottom to empty. In place of a large blue tub. I’m thinking of using an remote fan exhausting to atmosphere through a filter to trap fine particles. Less noise and I can use a better spec’d fan. It would only be used for sucking swarf, so a small cylinder aka soil pipe under the cyclone takes little space up behind or to the side of a machine.I’m really not sure what you mean?
I shoved one of these inside my extractorI use my Henry for dust collection (without a cyclone) but I do curse it frequently I am usually cutting something critical with the track saw or router and the corrugated vac hose catches on the edge of the bench or the track and stops me causing a hiccup in the cut. I am planning to look for a smooth outer pipe and another thing, my Henry has a rotating top that the wire winds into but the switch is situated on the side halfway down and in a recess. If I could see an easy way to fit a switch on the top I would but I don't want to mess it up as it does work very well.

That's an idea that I hadn't thought of thanks.I shoved one of these inside my extractor
I think I will try that as I haven't been able to source any smooth pipe that would be flexible enough, cheersI bought some large diameter braided sleeving to fit over the hose, you can put the tools power lead through it too if you have a hose per tool. That and/or hanging the hose over a g clamp on a workshop roof girder so its not resting on the edge of the bench stops the sudden jerking.
That's a brilliant idea. I have had one similar to this on my computer for years, the advantage would be I could use in on different tools as well. Thanks@hunter27
Try one of these for switching you vacuum on & off automatically.
