My only compliant would be that all the fine and damaging dust will be blown straight through Henry
well spotted, still a valid point if you can ignore the errorThese compliances are buggers, aren't they.
Kim, Henry hoarding is 'a thing' you know?
Be careful!
I ordered one of these and it was delivered yesterday, I have been using it all day and it works brilliantly, thanks for the recommendation.@hunter27
Try one of these for switching you vacuum on & off automatically.

Looks really good!
I have been looking into this because I want to build one as well, and it seems that Bill Pentz has a load of good info on his website.
Saw him referred to all over the web, thought I'd share.
You miss the point Kim.That’s fine. I have another three backups

A class M filters the finer particles
A Henry pushes them back into the air for you to breathe at your leisure
Your right I don't. Mines class M.

MDF dust is vile stuff
is that solvent weld pipe KimExcuse the mess. I have so much on the go right now. I’ll sort it tomorrow, honest!
I needed to finish the cyclone mostly today because the old Henry hose I had going to the top was crushing a fair bit when sucking so I picked up £10 worth of plastic pipe bits and made a new tube which is great and not so restrictive. View attachment 270609
Then to keep the hoover in place I put some little Packer blocks in place and made a Corner bit to retain it where it is. I can just lift it over if I need to get it out now which is nice. View attachment 270610View attachment 270611 All I need to do now is put some steel uprights on to secure the hose when I wrap it around the barrel. Also I plan on doing a switch on the side so I don’t need to keep switching it at the wall. I’ll have a little think before I do that though.
My hose ends have vents that can be opened and closed
Depending on the tool I'm using these can be useful. Sanding for example it's good to let a little airflow through as the inlet holes are blocked by the workpiece and gives both the machine and hoses an easier time.
I don’t actually do anything with mdf. If I do I will hear that in mind.Your right I don't. Mines class M.

Yes it is. 32mm I think.is that solvent weld pipe Kim
Yes they’re 50mm ends. You got the spacers with yours I assume? Do you want me to link the step down spacers that I used?Hi,
For my small needs I've just bought a new Henry it's due to arrive tomorrow;

Like Kim I too have bought this cyclone it's already with me; it looks to have 50mm dia entries.

I already have one of these mixing buckets so today gave it a good clean out; it will need a lid but I've got plenty of sheet material; it's strong;

I'm looking forward to putting it all together assuming I don't get driven out of the workshop again with the freezing weather.
Kind regards, Colin.
