I go with what you say we can see as I do t know. Wood dust is typically 10 to 30 micron

0.3 micron is the size of the virus.

My error. 0.3 is filter spec for m class .
3microns for MDF dust.

yep Same thing.

the example I use is the projection lamp in a cinema, the flecks of light you can see are dust particles scintillating in the light.

only Need a powerful torch to replicate that at home. The methods was written years ago and makes ref to a 1 million candle power torch. These days most good led torch’s suffice. It’s what I use

Hi,

My Henry has just arrived I only ordered it two days ago so it's excellent service; I'll wander down to the workshop with it shortly to check it's OK and to get wet; I was awakened at 4 o'clock this morning by heavy rain pounding on the roof at least it wasn't coming up through the floor. Dust is a nuisance and health hazard in our workshops but here in Yorkshire dust is seldom a problem outdoors; heavy rain forecast until this afternoon when fog takes over.

I bought some large diameter braided sleeving to fit over the hose, you can put the tools power lead through it too if you have a hose per tool. That and/or hanging the hose over a g clamp on a workshop roof girder so its not resting on the edge of the bench stops the sudden jerking.

Sorry to quote my own post but I just found the packaging from my braided sleeve for the hose, the website is here, I seem to remember it being a bit cheaper when I bought it a couple of years ago.....

Hi,

I suspected problems looking at the box Henry was supplied in the box being very rough and crudely taped up not exactly what I'd expect having just paid almost £120.

Fortunately Henry was still smiling so I'm happy.

This morning I wandered down to the workshop and switched on the fan heater at high setting it being 2C outside then set about installing the cyclone to the bucket lid as seen. I need to make quick release clamps for the lid and to sort out couplings for the cyclone; I've ordered a 5m long Henry spare hose this will allow quick connections to machines; vac the floor and also vac the car out without having to move the unit around much; I'll make a wheeled trolley for it. I just wish it would warm up and be brighter; it's tried to snow and is a black hole again today but forecast a lot worse for next week; I'm looking forward to the best UK joke of the year end of March when we change clock settings and call it "British Summer Time".

I wish I'd never bought the Record Power vac seen under the lathe; yes it collects dust etc. but then chokes me as it's emptied and when under power can be heard over in Hull; Henry is very well mannered by comparison.

The drawback of having a long hose. Gonna cost me near 90 quid
