If the pump is running, try a few rests to get it primed. There is a way of priming them off the buttons
From the Chinese heater forum (https://www.facebook.com/groups/265862240781579/about)
Make sure you only fit it on the correct side with the fuel inlet pipe connection on the bottom of the heater higher than the air intake and exhaust outlets not below
On the Russian one I fitted, it was supplied with a matchbox sized control system, without a thermostat, it worked all or nothing, we've upgraded the control box to a thing with more buttons, lcd display and thermostat, and the difference is huge, you turn it on full blast, and as it starts to warm up it slows it down, reducing noise and works a treat, quite impressed frankly, despite all my doubts.
Won 't be me, be clients, seeing as it starts on full blast for a while, hopefully this will do it.They are better running flat out. Stay cleaner longer.
If you are going to run it at a reduced output whack it back on full for a while before turning off.
Ours runs 60 hours a week and is 2 years old. You can buy 10 of the Chinese ones for the cost of 1 Eberspacer so why look anywhere else?I know we are talking about Chinese heaters but if I wanted a really good quality heater suitable for use in a van, would I be best looking at something like a eberspacher?
None of these look like a professional solution though. Also they’re quite bulky, I’m gonna be short on space in the vanOurs runs 60 hours a week and is 2 years old. You can buy 10 of the Chinese ones for the cost of 1 Eberspacer so why look anywhere else?
More than happy with ours.
