Could you reduce the pulsing of the output with a small accumulator?

You were dead right maker! I was just reading through the thread and an accumulator is exactly what it needs to quiet it down so I was wrong. The home made dampener does a job of keeping the vibration down but I'm still not happy with the noisy pulsing effect. It's really the only downside to this delightful little pump as it's brilliant in every other way. Gonna be a hand in pocket moment I'm afraid and get one on order. Space is getting Tight right now so I've selected a small Bosch fuel pulse accumulator and hopefully that will be it. It should be completed and ready by end of month easy. Fitting in the odd hour on it now is getting difficult but it's almost there. If the pulsing wasn't an issue she's be painted by now.

Progress, I've had a couple hours to crack on and get it finished. All that's left is the terminal box to put in (again home made out of aluminium) and a coat of primer, 2 coats of paint and laquer.
I've quietened it down a fair bit with the accumlator (makers great idea) and all that can be felt through the torch is the water circulation which is spot on.
So the plan this week is to strip it down to the shell. Paint her all up wire it into the terminal box with a decent length of cable and she's ready for service. Next update by weekend should be the finished item. (Hopefully)

Monday is the deadline for completing it. It must be finished this weekend as I have 12 Mtrs of stainless box section turning up next week for a balcony railing job which needs doing. I won't be doing any more on it till Friday now as need to catch up with other things. Updates on Friday.

I just purchased a 2.2Kw ATC Spindle upgrade for my router. It is water cooled as opposed to the air cooled spindle I have at the moment.
I'm just looking at your project thinking how perfect it would be for a spindle cooler.

Well you can see how easy they are to make. If you need any Alu bits knocked up let me know. (Chassis, tank etc ).

Home made damper has eliminated it all together. Took 2 different design types to do it mind but learnt a lot about how they work. Thanks anyway though Jim. Very kind.

Don't blame ya mate I've rambled on about it at every stage. Kept me out of trouble for an hour in the evenings

This is the standard pulsation damper I see used a lot. Made of brass so it doesn't corrode but they do fatigue and crack when they get very old.

You can't see in the picture but there is a tail on the other side and the pressure pulses flex the material absorbing a lot of the vibration you would otherwise get in the torch.

I've built one with an air trap inside which acts in a similar way. The pulses are cushioned by the trapped pocket of air and the flow out of the exit is smooth. It works brilliantly for taking out torch vibration but it did not cure the load pump noise so I added a fuel accumulator on it also which made it a lot quieter. I think if I have another to do Id keep it simple and use the standard part as you show.
