I wouldn’t be wasting too much time on the manuals, most are sales blurbs. And the only complicated bit on yours is the head, which you should investigate thoroughly - quill bearings and auto feed etc Does it have auto feed?

It will 99% require new bearings and oil seals.

As far as I can tell all the bearings in the motors are still original (got some new ones on order). When the seller ran the machine very briefly it was not exactly very quiet so I suspect the bearings is still the original ones.

Regarding the auto-feed I am not too sure. Hence the plan to get the motors sorted (already dug the starpoint out so they can be wired for delta and run on 230v 3 phase power via VFD). Once I can power the machine I can see and hear how it runs and make an assessment to see if I can use the machine as is for a while or if I need to do work on it immediately.

It looks like it has got auto feed

I found the manual for the Milmor machine, only two more manuals to get!!

Elliott MILMOR Milling Machine Manual

On the Milmor machine the head tilting splines are being turned by a ratchet (RS on image). It was possibly the same for my TV2.

In the spec the gross weight is 1196kg, that won't include the slotter

Rick, post a few photos of your milling machine. The information and photos of the machines are hard to come by!

I would like to remake the auto traverse shut off bar and brackets that are missing if someone has photos and dimensions please. It must have been smashed off because I had to drill out the broken bolts from the front of the table.
