depends on what you use them for , love mine , gets used as truck carrying loads, tows nice n stable, etc etc

miss my iveco daily but you can park the mitsi in town multi stories/hospitals etc much easier , perfect choice would be one of each but it gets too spendy having one sat still.For 3 years I used a Sprinter as my daily drive. The Ranger feels like a little mini in comparison
It has been like that for years so yes it is a U turn.It's all over, well it is now:

Bit of detail:
"Despite the change of heart, however, it will only affect double-cab pick-ups with a payload of more than one tonne. Double-cab pick-ups with payloads below 1000kg, like the Ford Ranger Raptor, will continue to be classed as passenger cars."
So not a total U turn.
But what people don't realise is it isn't the elected government doing a U turn. Some little Hitler civil servants at HMRC will have dreamt this up and slipped it past some government minister who knows nothing about the topic.
Then someone who DOES understand the ramifications will have got to hear about it and gone nuts!
Yes Minister is far worse today than it was when the show was first on TV.

Out shopping with my mate in the Netherlands...he pointed out the tax authority camera van in the car park checking on company vehicles being used for private use!

I have owned, wrenched on, and driven all three.....F-150 is very common, so more aftermarket parts avail.Definitely a fool, I mean an F-150 of all vehicles. He should have got a Dodge or a GMC or even a Chevy.

Not owned an F-150 since about 2005/6 but have had 2 Rams, 2 GMC 1, Silverado loved them all, Would like a Rivian but no current support in the UK and ££££££££££££££

I hear the new Dodge full sized pick ups are rusting on the lot they are so bad with rust prevention, the Ford's are all aluminum.
I also read that dodge & jeep is running a soybean based wire insulation, leading
to major faults. But they are eco-friendly....
Chevy has so much Chinese content now....

I had a friend that wanted one in the worst way, used to see a guy every week driving to work in one... just like yours in the pix, dark blue color.
He talked with the guy, found he lived nearby, and got to test drive it.
That short drive put him right off them.
I'm more of an Oskosh "F series" kind of guy myself.....

I can imagine they are a bit basic, noisy, drafty, leaky, thirsty, no syncro, no power steering, a bit like a series Landrover on steroids.Have you driven one ?

Yea but they took it to quite an extreme...he used to make a note for each trip including the purpose, the start and end mileage etc... so everything could be checked off!

Drove one today, really quite good. Shifted too.
Not sure. I know my new Amarok/Ranger 2024 does but might be a bit narrower on the older model. Could always put it in lengthways with the tailgate down.
The older model was sportier to drive. Only real drawbacks were drum brakes at the back so a bit of fade if you really hammered it on mountain roads. Also you can only use 4wd on loose stuff or you get transmission wind up.
The newer model has 4wd that can be used on any roads.
The sports mode on the gearbox really helps with shifting on tight twisty country roads.
Manual roller blind over the load area is a pain. My old one was electric and much nicer than my new one.
They do leak in the back as do all such pickups.
