Needs 3 cuts mate yes. Thanks very much - the answer to 'what was I missing' was that it's two/three cuts, not one. Makes much more sense.
Unless you're cutting bilets to machine then, don't bother with the ABS is what I was told by the guy that sells them. It's more than fast enough. Without it.Been Really tempted by the ABS NG120XL...Really want that 60 degree cut, But i can't seem to see if the Mitre Table is compatible with it?
How accurate are these, and do they have stops at different angles like a 45, I'm used to using proper saws in work so have no idea how one of these little saws would perform they do look good
I've not used my Femi 780XL that much, but every time I use it I'm impressed with how well it does what it does. It gives clean, true cuts without any fuss. And the ability to pick it up and stick it on a shelf after you've done your work is invaluable in a small, overcrowded space (like mine always is).
Funnily enough I just used my 784XL for the first time in a wee while to cut some half-inch square bright bar and it, well..., just works - without fuss as you say!
I may well have posted this here before but last year I made this platform for it so I could use it as a vertical bandsaw:

The instructions that come with the machine are very, very clear about that - repeating the warning on multiple occasions, so unless you either don't RTFM or decide you know better, you'll be fine.Don’t ever use oil on one of them femi bandsaws unless you want to wreck it
That's simply genius

I don’t know, can’t remember it was three years ago I think. The top of the saw does give a guide for the speed rating. Not read every post but I think your blade speed is a bit too fast Kim?
120mm wide I think but you can mess with it a bit and get it to do slightly bigger. It’s say box wise it’s probably 100mm that it’ll cut comfortably. I’m sure I can cut 100mm at 90deg but I can’t remember exactly. I’d have to check. It’s been a while.what is the limit it will cut kim
I agree, I think that 100mm box is the largest it will comfortably handle. And I'm not going out to the shed to check, as it's too darn cold...I don’t know, can’t remember it was three years ago I think. The top of the saw does give a guide for the speed rating.
The saw is still going strong though. Every project I’ve done it’s been involved with. Although this roller bender if made it’s not been used much. All the steel for that is a bit big.
