I am haha.she's deffinetly not scared of hard work
You can't make a table for the 120 versions, the blade pushes not pulls so it won't work unfortunatly. A note about the blade, make sure you buy a decent one, I'd been ordering the cheaper one from stakesys the last couple times and each time I find after a short period the blade dulls on one side then wonders. The original that came with the saw lasted longer than any of them and stayed cutting straight.Just been reading a bit of this thread and noticed that about eleven months ago I commented I was thinking of changing the blade. Well, I am still thinking about it. Use it all the time too, I should really make a little slidy out table thingy for it.
Wonder what is available.
I want to sit a piece of 3/4" ply about 12" wide and 20" deep on top of a table and slide it back and forth on runners. What is out there? I would like to keep as low as possible.
What replacement blade would you recommend, Kim? I'm still on the original blade and probably will be for quite a while as my usage is a lot less than yours (retired bloke in a shed). Is the OE blade available for sensible money? It's not a matter of urgency, but I do like to have A Plan...You can't make a table for the 120 versions, the blade pushes not pulls so it won't work unfortunatly. Maybe I'm not following, I can't see how you'd do it with the blade direction. Mine isn't the ABS either and it also doesn;t go verticle like the smaller models.A table would work on my saw, it would go exactly the same direction as yours. Unfortunately you have to disengage and partly dismantle the auto feed/cutoff. I just use the jigsaw or angle grinder.
I bought replacement blades from a bandsaw place recommended by someone on this very forum. Haven't tried them yet but still managed to cut myself with one!
The cheaper ones on Stakseys are what I used the last couple times but they sell some more expensive ones which I think I'll try and hope they'll be better. What replacement blade would you recommend, Kim?
