Yes, I’m not entirely happy with them tbh. I think they will be far too wobbly.
plan it to change them for something a bit better when they meet their inevitable death.
I’m hoping the angle that their at will help but I’m not convinced

lol unfortunately I didnt film the thoughts and process I went through to sit that engine in there but it wasn’t easy because without that crossbrace there is absolutely no reference to work from so it was very much “yeah that’l work”

The racing company next door, (if this helps), when they do new looms, they get clear heat shrink, and one of those mini hand held printers, like the old plastic strip things, names escape me, each cable has a reference under the clear heat shrink.
Looks super professional for marking looms.

Like a dymo machine.
I did that for the megane just with idents, not as neat but down the job. When I rebuild this loom I’ll make it pretty and better suited to the car instead of Frankensteined into a Ford lol

I used Land Rover mounts (motor factors) and that’s what gave way after a particularly aggressive traffic light Grand Prix. Range Rover mounts were better and survived multiple runs at Santa Pod but an adjustable torque tube bolted to the left hand cylinder head and chassis with shock absorber eyes at each end did the trick.

Something I really like about your stuff is that you're not afraid to show things when they don't go quite according to plan. You deserve great credit for that.
I do have a question for you though. Was that new flywheel spacer thicker than the old one? If so, won't that make a difference to the relative positions of things like the starter ring and clutch biting point as it has pushed the flywheel further away from the engine (only a little obviously)?
Oh, and for the terminal turbo and flywheel, have one of these

it is by about 8mm iirc.
starter ring is in the same place as I’m using the 1uz ring gear due to the bmw one being integrated into the flywheel which is being spaced out. Clutch biting point is easily adjusted due to the way the slave cylinder sits in the gearbox so shouldn’t be an issue.
If it is an issue I can always pull it out and turn it down

appreciate the support. Makes it easier to continue doing the videos as they can take quite a bit of time and can often deter me from wanting to go out and do something lol

As it happens it was getting on my nerves being in that mess so I cleaned it the weekend lol.
I was using it as motivation initially
