Just did something similar with a somewhat lighter Mx5 shell and a small Brian James trailer

Things required to get a car onto a transporter -

1 - A transporter
2 - A pair of ramps
3 - A winch
4 - A scaffold pole
5 - An angle grinder
6 - A plasma cutter

Quite a list for a simple task

Oh, I almost for got and probably the most important thing

so how much is scrap these days, a shell wont be that heavy yet you have 3 guys wages and a truck to run , surely they will only end up with £15/20 each if lucky

My neighbours own a scrapyard, I told them to come and get it, that’s what turned up lol

They still owe me money for it even if its only £50, I was just glad to get rid of a lot of scrap I had hanging about lol

I couldn't believe what i was watching tbh.

something i missed filming was their initial attempt to getting it off the driveway.

being as i had cut the front off they decided to hook their winch onto one of the strengthening plates within the chassis rails, one side got the car turned to point out the driveway before giving way and the hook flying out at mach 1 and hitting the back of the cab. undettered they went for the otherside which got it to the end of the driveway before the winch gave up the ghost and blew a fuse. so they nicked some of my jump leads and jumped the winch directly off the battery before breaking the other chassis rail strengthening plate. it took them 2 minutes to work out if they wrap the steel cable arount the A-pillars they could drag it like that. troub le with that was it was lifting the back end when they tried pulling it onto the truck, it was at that point i thought "I should be filming this!"

if they own the yard best keep in with them, source parts is easier if they are on side
