not really, its not attached to the exhaust and ii have a plan to direct the flow a bit better

Heat is worth considering lest this happens (and this wasn't even the main exhaust, just the wastegate dump):

I thought that the exit velocity from the pipe would make the hot gases flow outside the fairing, as well as getting diluted by the cold air rushing past a 215mph bike.

Turns out, I thought wrong

May we ask, what treatment is that on the underside? Anything exotic or just 2 pack primer over stone chip?

2 pack primer, raptor liner, and it will have a coat of 2 pack paint over it too, which should be done by now.

won’t be long and it’s back on the rolly jig and getting its final coating as the bodywork is all done

Great stuff! We can now all look forward to some great timelapse videos of the reassembly

Should be in colour next week! The underside is done. Colour is picked. It’s back in the rolly jig.
