I can't see why not...I'm assuming the image is not face on and has been taken at an angle.

Assuming that, it looks like evenly tapered letters sat on a thickened plinth.

Having looked gain i would draw the side profile extrude that

Then project the badge the extrude it.

Finish of with few sketches. Probably take 30-40mins

I am sorry . Apart from Hijacking the thread I was not clear on what I wanted to achieve.

I can probably manage to cobble togather extruding the block that the badge is mounted on given time. To try to do the badge as well while I am still super novice is asking too much . As we already have the badge I thought I would try the plinth. BUT I now notice that ebay one seems to be a plinth complete with badge......I had not noticed that before.

My logic was also that buying this, if I need any more, was easier than 3D printing a part and painting it!

Sorry for intruding, I think I have asked this before, but now not so sure. Why Fusion 360. This is one of my shortcomings. I know what I want but have to get some one else to generate it for me and not always what I wanted or asked for. Have watched a few vids and it looks perfect for what i need to do at times. The problem is knowing what button to press to get what you want

Like any CAD package you have to start with guides start small then build your way up until you can use it with proficiency


Why fusion its probably the easiest package ive used

This is my problem. Some say its because I want to run before I can walk. However usually when I find out how to do what I want its often very simple if you are shown it!

I liken it to putting out a chip pan fire....its actually very simple BUT if I start telling you about how to Don BA and ensure you leave you echo tab in the BA board it all sounds rather confusing....well you can do it like that but if you dont have BA you can soak a tea towel ...ring it out...keep low and drape it away from you over the pan quickly so it does not burn through.

I used SW or GeoMagic for models then imported into BobCAD for CAM but then I wanted to upgrade BobCad but they were wanting £3k just for an upgrade when previously full versions could be had for $7-800 from the USA but they got a UK agent and you paid UK prices. Because it was Christmas/New Year I decided to see what Fusion was like, the cloud aspect had previously put me off. I got into the swing of it fairly quick as the modelling was similar to SW and GM but what got it for me was I could do everything in the one package and better than that in a single file, CAD to CAM. Glad I jumped ship and went with Fusion.

The cloud aspect is probably one of the best cloud applications I’ve used. It’s pretty much seamless. Keeps a tonne of data off your PC too.

I already have mate. Lars is the one who keeps giving me extras I don't want at the time....it just confused me.
I have no doubt he is good but as a raw beginner I find him hard to follow sadly.

Good morning gents and thankyou for your replies. I suppose it is like sheetcam, which I use for the 'cam'. When I started I had no idea and when I got something to work, the next day could't remember how to do it again. Things are better now, but it would be much better for someone to hold me by the hand to start off initially and build upo from there. I suppose we all need to start from somewhere and the begining seems to be the right place. I am quite happy with sheetcam, so just to be able to do the drawings (sheetmetal) and the ability to lay it out on a flat plane is absolutely wonderful. I have seen a couple of vids by Lars and that is why I'm asking. Thanks again gents
