We were having a conversation last night about someone’s kid who’s 13 and how he’s not expected to do much because he’s still young - I realised I was the same age when I did my first machine restoration, a fully seized Follows and abate push lawnmower, had it working, repainted and used it to mow our front garden. Fourteen years of playing with machines and mechanical things - here’s to the next 14

Like wise im 26 and have been doing manual jobs with dad since about 12 so ive been fortunate to achieve a good amount.

Then i look at my brother hes 16 and completely different.

im 67 20 pills a day and knackered2 hospital appointments and doctor ever 6 weeks

53, bad back, sore hips, shoulders have been known to pop out, torn calf muscle at the moment, knee gets niggly. Apart from that lot I’m fitting fit

Knocking on the door of 66, 11 pills a day, aches from old injuries re-appearing (no beggar ever told me about that, years ago), hate the cold these days, definitely got lower energy levels, fall asleep in the afternoon regular as clockwork.
Gawd knows what I'd be like if I were still fat and smoking - likely dead.

When I was about 8 I used to get old radios off my dad and would site there all day long taking them apart and putting them back together. For you young ones ^^^ radios used to have moving parts in them!

We used to have an office in Probus.....its in Cornwall near St Austell....Ive been so I can understand why its likened to Retirees.......it was there to supply China Clay Quarries.

66 but still think I'm 21. The usual aches and niggles but not too shabby. Tinitus in my left ear is annoying (heavy fabrication in my 29's and no mention of PPE) but I'm not going to die from it. I do have arthritis in my index finger top joint on my right hand which I suspect is due to dislocating it years ago.
