Very Late Update

I tried machining the the L16 bush didn't work every well, ended up using 4 tool tips in total the case hardening caused a ridge in the bush, or was it my crappy machining skills.

Anyway called into the local S/H machinery place yesterday and found this....45 quid...expensive but has to be a must have.

I've got probably a silly question. How come you can't turn a centre that fits the taper of the lathe? Then just not use a bush at all?

The problem starts when you haven't got all the dial indicators, adaptors, tooling which you collect over time, at the time I only had a Harrison L5 lathe, it did have a taper turning attachment, but
I couldn't find the outer taper angle of the L00 sleeve, or access to a sleeve to compare/measure.

I did try making one but due to the lack of information/available tooling it was not a success, so end up buying one.

I did buy the L6 Lathe, which I still have, it maybe not be the best one but it does me, atm.
