It says 7 years now!Certainly suck the water out! Not sure they are any better than any other makes but 4 year warranty if you buy direct
Or do you mean the dehumidifiers?

Yep washers 7 and dehumidifiers 4, the washing machine seems good so far, some good features like an external door release if the lock fails and a decent drain to do the filterIt says 7 years now!

£660 for a washing machine...wow.Not many about! Wish I had one.
British company Ebac still make them. They are best known for their dehumidifiers but wanted to build a quality machine.
E-Care 9kg Hot Fill

Has a 7 year parts and labour guarantee - but people would still rather buy German

Even the high end German brands are made in Turkey these days. My Hotpoint has lasted 15 years so far. I will replace it with an Ebac. I seem to be one of the very few who tries to buy British to keep jobs in this country.I actually read that and thought how reasonable for what it is. As in if it really is British made and has that genuine guarantee. I'd need to read more into it.
This comes after a disastrous, long term flirtation with a Hotpoint WMD960. SWMBO's choice I might add. What an absolute piece of rubbish. We had it for a good few years and had an engineer out at least I reckon twice as year. It ate bearings and drums, suspension components, PCBs, doors and rusted.
One of the engineers told us on the quiet the model couldn't handle the top spin speed of 1600rpm and it was well known throughout the industry. We had the cover package which wasn't cheap, cancelled it during a short, breakdown free period (I think we were abroad ) then rapidly reinstated it. In the end an engineer deemed it unrepairable and we got a new one under the cover. Engineers ranged from morons to excellent. We had one refuse to do a major job as our "earth reading was too high". This despite being TT and having a functioning RCD. One after actually said what he thought of the bloke, that they carry plug in RCDs if they're worried. Another attended for a belt that kept coming off. Diagnosed something, fixed it and left. The belt then came off again pretty much as he walked out the door. I had to get underneath and find the motor mount had broken. He or one of his predecessors had "tidied up" the missing, broken off cast motor mount pieces.
Even more galling was that I'd told her initially to buy higher end Bosch. My fear over their lower end models stemming from having read they bought a low end Spanish maker and rebadged to make their lower end stuff.
When the WMD60 got replaced under the cover plan I said to SWMBO just buy a Miele and be done with it. What did she buy? Another Hotpoint!

I try to buy british from local independent where possible, but its getting more difficult all the time. As for where stuff is made is anyones guess. Hitachi washers were made by Servis near Birmingham for example. About 15 different fridge brands are made by the same firm in italy.I'll go Beko again, the washer and tumble drier have lasted really well, i'm sure it's about 10 years now with nothing touched
SWMBO needs to learn how to weigh the dry load and not exceed it when doing the washing same with dryer if you have oneI actually read that and thought how reasonable for what it is. As in if it really is British made and has that genuine guarantee. I'd need to read more into it.

The other problem is buying the same brand after one has given decade of good service - is that there's no guarantee whatsoever that what you get today is anything like as well made as its predecessor
