Heating oil increase this morning

I've got a kingspan one, as do my folks. The last came with the new tank I think. They're pretty reliable, might have had to change a battery but I can't remember when. But then, it does make a broomstick look cheap.

Just checking where the condensation line is will give a decent idea of oil level.

I use a length of copper pipe as a dipstick and record the depth on the pipe. Every cm is 29 litres.

I screwed up and went too soon. It's dropped 3ppl here since I filled up. That's £90.

It's been dropping steadily. I could have saved £150 if I had waited. That's about a third of a ton of coal that I also need - that's a month of heating, cooking and hot water.

No, that's not 52p, it's 53p.

How long will that amount last you?

14-18 months depending on winter weather. HW and CH.
From delivery in June '23 gave a full tank of 2,500 ltrs, the exact re-fill delivery amount on Monday last was 1,894 ltrs (not 2,000).
So I've used ~1900 ltrs (£1,121 inc vat) from 06-'23 to 09-'24 ...15 mths £1,121/15= £75/mth for CH/HW for 2023-2024. Cost to replace past history or cost to use future?
Last year's 2,500 ltr fill-up was much cheaper. Only 1300 ltrs at 58.p +vat (£791.7)
Electric is extra £60-£130/m very variable for cooking/lighting/workshop(turning,welding)/laundry/TV etc
Workshop heater (furnace) is calor gas and expensive when required.
