About 2 weeks ago it was pretty much the lowest it's been all year (strange as it usually spikes around christmas with demand) but now it's warmed up the price has gone up. The Price of Kero seems to have gone up a fair bit since last Autumn. The best price I could get in NW Kent (inc. 5% VAT) 67.46 per litre on a 1500 litre order.

We had a Toshiba MW in the mid 70's that finally failed early 2000's . When we went to replace it the salesman sold us the new one he commented " I hope you don't expect the new one to last 30 years " How right he was . we are on out third since then. All supposedly decent makes. Planned obsolescence !
Also on our third bread maker in 20 years and 6200 plus loaves. Again supposedly top brands!!

Just got rid of the kettle we had for 28 years. A dark blue Mellerware design. Sad thing was it was still working perfectly but the plastic spout part of it was starting to biodegrade. 
Can’t see the replacement lasting a third of that time….

Ive given up trying to predict the price it seems so volatile, apparently there is an oversupply at present so it should come down over the next few weeks, who knows!
Have you tried boilerjuice? Normally the cheapest around.Dragging this thread back to the price of heating oil for a moment
I'm still with my first breadmaker, no divorce planned.
Round here Boilerjuice is always more expensive than either local suppliers or the Oil Club.

I did buy from Boilerjuice, they were cheaper than the other local suppliers at the time.
Yes same here - local suppliers being too greedy - ironic as same people come out and boiler juice gets their cut!

We alternate between boiler juice and the oil club depending on price, did try the local suppliers but totally disinterested in supplying at a sensible price for some reason

Talk about tempting fait! Re our 3rd bread-maker in 20 years became our 3rd out of 4 today . Had a reason to do a deep clean on the inner shell ( SHMBO started to fill container with flour only to realise she had forgotten to install the container) to find it had rusted away just below the element.Zero chance of a replacement shell so it's hand in pocket time AGAIN.. Somehow I don't think they are designed to be used every day just 1/2 a dozen times and then stored/ chucked /given away.
That’ll be the office bods on chairs,r&d research types tuning their previous good products DOWN to reach a bigger audience, often ruining a good name well earned in the past.

We've had a Panasonic bread maker and up until recently it's been making a loaf of bread every few days for the last 5 years. Just haven't been eating as much bread recently but it made another today. Parents and my sister also have Panasonics and they've been going for years.

Thanks for info but sad to say all ours were/are Panasonic .The existing one(just) is a SD 2500 . Just hard work I guess.

Interesting to see the 500 litre tariff is so low at the minute . Will do a dip stick check tomorrow and see if we can squeeze 500 litres in the tank providing the local 200 mtrs away company we have a direct debit & monthly payment scheme with can match the price.

Fuel seems to be going up, had a message from my fuel card provider and they reckon it's now Trump is in, he's planning a clamp down on Russian oil as despite the embargo they seem to be getting it out of the country via alternative routes hence the increase
