When my mate had his 300 I remember him paying silly money for one of the tiny tail rotor blades. I think it was around £3000 for something about 14" long. Nothing wrong with the old one but hours up so in the bin it went.@Brad93 It is a Clam door location pin on a Hughes 500 helicopter it locates in a hole in a frame have seen a few without \lost the pins they flew in for service it is a 1\4 thread with the tapered square.will post a photo of them fitted in a couple of days It stops the door drooping & getting torn off

When I resprayed my old C172 Cessna I enquired as to the cost of the steel bushes that the rudder and elevator pivoted on, cannot remember exactly how much they were but £25.00 each comes to mind, and there were quite a few! had the old ones tested for hardness, mild steel, hmmm, have a lathe! have steel, have reamers, 20 new bushes, £10.00 , still flying 20 years later, just not by me!
With aviation components, I'm guessing its also the documentation required to trace that part all the way back to the person digging the ore out of the ground that costs.

There is no reason for some of prices

Out of time re build Never flown a Robinson & never want to, @Shox Dr I appreciate it costs but they are taking the proverbial on a lot of parts, we sold ours back to the USA the cost of parts was escalating + the £ \ $ rate was madness all parts a $ figure
@fizzy's link says "free cable end" - does that mean that you could get rough on the old one, and the new one comes with the new electrical necessaries?
I have a small SP puller which just might do the job fizzy, yours to borrow if you want to try it.
