Hydrovane upgrade

Hey, hate to dig up and old post, but I'm currently wiring up the same system. With identical starter and motor and a hydrovane.
Everything is good except the stop button is only acting momentarily. As in won't stay stopped when finger is moved.
Would anyone have any ideas?

The start button should usually pull in a coil on a contactor, providing all the other contacts in the circuit are made.

If its making the contactor but it goes off as soon as you release there is something in the latching circuit that’s not holding in - do you have a schematic diagram or can you make some sketches of your wiring?
