I need a new tablet.

I'm after a new tablet for general web surfing and forum browsing as my current Samsung Tab A is getting slow and the Ebay app won't now work on it. It's about 8 years old and a 10.1" screen.
What do people use? I don't want an iPad or another Samsung one after the truly appalling treatment Samsung gave me a couple of years ago with a new phone.
So what's out there?

I've a Lenovo 10", quite basic compared to the Samsung I had before that and the apple ones but does the job at a fraction of the price so you may want to look at them

Btw, the thing that killed the my Samsung was the battery, after about 6yrs of light use it died. I put an aftermarket one in but it didn't want to know. it didn't owe me anything but still disappointing.

If the battery in your current one's still good it might be worth just cleaning out all the junk & seeing if that helps with the speed?

I've done a reset / clearout before as it completely seized up but now I think it's too old for more security updates and the last thing I need is another Samsung initiated bank fraud nightmare!

Not standard android so app choice was a bit restricted when I last used one - mainly use macbook as I prefer a keyboard.

That Doogee tab looks good, much more memory then my old one! I've never heard of them though.

Thanks I'll have a look, some use WiFi for positioning others have a dedicated GPS chip..... ask me how I know

Same here, and the battery often won't charge past 83%, it should really be in Codgers Corner!

Turns out AGPS (assisted GPS) is dependent on cell towers / an LTE signal for positioning so that rules it out for me but in every other respect that Doogee U11 looks v impressive.

My current, & previous phone, are Doogee's. Not had any issues with either. Performance is good. That's why I chose one of their tablets.
