wow all clean and shiny mine looks nothing like that lol more covered in brambles and weeds, but it will clean up im surePop into a local fire station, Northfield, Kings Norton and Billesley all had Dennis appliances until recently so someone should be able to give advice.

i need to follow this, how do you work out the figures ?Wants water spurting on all 4 sides at least 500mm trying to work out the water pressure and volume required think the V8 turbo + the Cummings may not be enough lights changing color in the water flow is the easy bit, it is stainless
im just going to use what ive got and what ever the final height is i will claim is the calculated design height

true not the best end for such a machine, but it was for sale for over a year including on ebay everyone thought it was worth saving but no one thought it was worth saving enough to actually put their hand in their pocket .... the only thing that was scrapped was the rotten body i have all the drive train including the rockwell axles with difflocks, i might might fit them to my sj one day
i guess a rubber sheet as a flap in the pipe would work for that ? i doubt i could afford a 6" one way valve even if i could find one lol

there is another place for calculations but thats on gravity fed system via a weir or a stream feed system
you get 2 numbers on the vid for this is the second dam the nozzle choice is down to you

One of our ideas was to feed from top (caped off) with a series of floors going down a series of holes getting smaller as they descend allowing the pressure to increase and hopefully the water jet to reduce slowly rather than just fizzle out.

Like your style, ours will follow a formula just don't know which onei need to follow this, how do you work out the figures ?

if its height based then you will get more pressure the lower it is due to gravity
this is where the water is pushed out further a field
chamber systems are better as you can equal them out
you should also consider draining it as well as you dont want it freezing in winter
i was pondering hole size to try and keep the spray Patten uniform but i do like the idea, ive got a few 4" diameter tubes 16' long kicking around if i could find away of drilling holes up the sides in a spiral but with the holes at 45 deg instead of 90 deg so the jets head of uphill before they fall, that might make an interesting fountain

The problem is the amount of water it will pass through the holes, if you feed from bottom the volume / pleasure to get a good flow from the top.
Feeding from the top you have to try and slow the water feed down the extrusion /square form so as to get some shape to the spray, each section has 26X9X4 holes x 3mm. Around 5600 holes at 3mm
At present we are thinking it will be an inverted cone, it all depends on volume and pressure.

Drill holes then insert rod and distort pipe if thin enough, I don't think drilling at an angle other than if the pipe was over 4mm would work.
Wish we had a clean piece of paper to start, that looks a nice idea, I really don't think we can get the volume pressure to cope with the hole patter, at a viable cost

if they had been built 26"L x 9" wide lets say 10mm thick the pipe needed to feed that would be 22mm to aquire enough spray through i think its between 0.1-0.5mm jet roughly like the shower head
the chamber fill is the issue as you need to fill the chamber with enough water whilst its emptying out of the holes
when its positioned firing upwards the 3mm jets are fine as they will equal out themselves its also the same when firing downwards
the shower head can be turned to all of the angles and isnt affected by the gravity
go try your shower head in the bathroom and try it with all angles you will see what im saying is right the square ones above are the same and they are only fed by 15mm pipe
if you want to try it use 1 1/2" pipe and drill holes into it with it been 10ft long you can try each method untill you get equal water jets out of it only swap too 4" when needed and drill that the 1 1/2" pipe gives you a better guidance on the size of drill needed to the flow of 1 1/2" water being pumped into it
