A number of my "carefully" stored vehicles have a variety of "tenants".
Yarp, still waiting for me to find some time, at least it's in my barn now.Is that your horsebox with the two stroke Commer engine ?

Commer TS3 Horsebox / Campervan.
So, I've owned this for nearly twenty years, but it's finally out of dry storage, and finally for the first time in my life I have enough ground to put it on. I call her Josephine, 1963 Commer Horsebox, saved in 1999, and about 15 years ago I took out the inclined six cylinder petrol and found...www.mig-welding.co.uk

Beeston: Damaged pipe sees water shooting over houses
Water from the ruptured pipe sprayed several metres into the air, causing the evacuation of homes.www.bbc.co.uk
Set square, 45⁰. If it's held vertical and you're looking along the 45⁰ line, the height is the same as your horizontal distance. It's why axes have the end of the handle end cut at 45⁰, so tree feller can see where it'll come down. Maybe.thats impressive for gravity powered i might have to visit there and the chatsworth fountain, i wish i had a hill but i dont so i will have to rely on a good old diesel engine,
i was just looking at fountain pumps on amazon and see i can buy a half horsepower pump that shoots water 10' into the air so if i have 130 horsepower im sure that dosent equal 260 x10' otherwise i might punch a hole in the ozone layer
so how do i measure the height of the jet when its up and running ? i seem to remember trigonometry form school but thats all i remember the name not how it works lol if i take a measured distance from the base of the fountain say 100' then set up a small tube to look through, aim it at the top of the fountain and measure the angle that the tube is from horizontal i imagine there is a formula to calculate height ???
well you learn something new every day lolSet square, 45⁰. If it's held vertical and you're looking along the 45⁰ line, the height is the same as your horizontal distance. It's why axes have the end of the handle end cut at 45⁰, so tree feller can see where it'll come down. Maybe.![]()

I learned that in the boy scouts, along with how to tie a double bowline, which I can't remember ever coming in useful and I forgot how to do almost immediately!well you learn something new every day lol
They do use pumps to pressurise systems, as well as reservoirs.thats pretty impressive example of how much pressure must be in the water system and i am right in thinking thats just the weight of the water in the water towers we see dotted about the countryside they dont use pumps to pressurize the system do they ?
and ive made progress i was stuck for a propshaft to connect the engine to the pump, ive found one now just got to drive into wales to collect it but im snowed in lol, should have some pics of progress at the weekend
