Probably the main goto site for 3D printable stuff, but it all depends on what you're looking for.
Thingiverse isn't the easiest to find stuff on, but it does contain a lot of models.

If you're looking for something more engineering related, there's nothing stopping you from using sites like GrabCad.

All you need is a suitable 3D model, ideally in STL format.

3d Printing Nerd was one of the first ones i started following. His earlier stuff is better for newbies, his latest stuff is mostly printer reviews.

Thomas Sanlanderer is one of my favourites, a german engineer who can get very technical but really knows his stuff.

Makers Muse sort of halfway between the above two but does a lot of experimenting to achieve varied results.


Fortunately most of the current crop of 3d printers are a lot better than my first (Anet A8, the original acrylic framed version) and have less of a learning curve, reliability has vastly improved and they need less and less tinkering. You will still run into the occasional issue but it will be more likely to be an issue with the model or the way you have sliced it.

My granddaughter loves dinosaurs and dragons, but they must be red, downloaded this lots from Thingiverse and just set off the print

The dinosaurs and dragon have flexi bodies, the big thing in the middle is a pasta measure with a dinosaur chasing people

My Ender 3 came with a spare nozzle so you won't have to worry if you block the 1st. Besides, you can drill/burn the filament out readily enough as I found.

My wood worrier friend turned me a spaghetti measure the size of a saucer with a hole that measures enough for two people. I designed it (who is he kidding?) so I could place the whole packet against the measure without half the spaghetti falling out around the sides of a normal measure.

They're all about the same price: I buy from pihut, or pimoroni.

There's lots of good enclosures: look on thingiverse for some to 3d print.

I got mine from PiHut. I could have got one from Amazon, but it was just as cheap getting a starter kit/bundle from PiHut, and it's nice not to buy everything from Amazon.
