Who told himNATO green with pink racing stripes...?
Hmmm, where do I start. Both swivels needed rebuilding, then all the wheel bearings, rear callipers needed rebuilding with new disks and pads, fronts need the same but not the urgency of the rear, pretty much every bush and ball joint could do with replacing. The list is never ending. Non of them are easy either or quick.
Maybe once the engine is in it'll be a bit of added enthusiasm.
Probably would've been best to be honest. Loads done now anyway.Sounds like you couldve just pushed your rolling chassis under your boyfriends defender then started again from scratch with another. I doubt Id ever get my missus to lay a spanner on any of my vehicles. Although I'm not sue I'd want her to either.
Nope not as bold, I've decided that bold colours on a 110 don't look right, they have far to much surface area to paint bright and out there colours.
Kim,
will you and other half be going to the land rover show at billing this year?
I'll have to see. How I get on. Be nice to go though especially in Lou31st July 1st & 2nd August.
That's a pretty good idea. I do just need to spend the money and get the fly wheel and clutch.Good to see you are back Kim. I think you should get the engine in and rig up a temp fuel supply and exaust and start it up. Even if you have to take bits off/out again it gives a massive injection of enthusiasm to get going again.
Also i think you have done a very good job on the paint so far. I think you should try and paint it yourself, the paint you will be using is really easy to sand flat if you do get any bits your not happy with. think of it as the money you save will pay a good chunk of the fuel you will use traveling europe.
Cant find a big thumbs up emoji so you'll have to imagine one.
