Righto, update time

So the blue awesomeness I got is this.

As far as I'm aware it's the only full set of td5 hoses in the country I messaged the guys here https://m.facebook.com/mkperformancehose/ the owner Kieron has been amazing, had them templates all made up and obviously made them was very helpful when I realised last week I had an extra two small pipes sorted them right out though.
Anyway after battling through lady flu I decided to get something done
Had to take the fan and belt of again to get to one right deep behind the alternator. Sorted that and put it all back and then spend a while trying to work out how they all went. Here's the pics though

Words can't express how thrilled I am. It's really coming along. All the other bits I ordered from the dealer will hopefully finish the engine itself. Can put the covers on shortly too, ordered all the correct bolts and fixings for that to finish it off nicely. Need to pressure test the intercooler still, also have a new thermostat and temp sensor coming so once iget those tomorrow or Saturday hopefully I can finish pipe work.

Yes I think he has full 200 and 300 kits.

Its Looking Fantastic Kim. Love the hoses.

I know its just "mocked up" at the moment, but when you install the hoses make sure you install the clips so they can be accessed when all the bodywork is back on. Its an easy thing to overlook but an absolute pita when you need to work on the system.

Blingy blue bits look good but the standard jubilee clips let it down. Got to be Mikalor clips for the most visible ones at least. The dont have excess metal sticking out to snag your hands later and look much neater. Bit more expensive and less forgiving of size tolerance mind.
You can also get more grip when you are running excessive boost and it keeps blowing intercooler hoses off.

That should only be a problem if the tubes and spigots do not have retaining beads/barbs; silicone hose does have reputation for being quite slippy and can ease itself off unbeaded/barbed spigots under high pressure.

Yes they look good but I cannot justify spending £2-3 per clamp when there are so many. I'll be cutting the excess down. Need my parts to finish it all off though. Can't get them till Monday now unfortunately but I'll get it sorted Monday

Find some thin wall blue rubber hose and cut lengths to fit over the Jubille clip "tails"?.

If you have trouble blowing boost hoses off slippery aluminium pipes, degrease and spray with hairspray before fitting the hose back on. It won't come off again.

Trick learnt from watching bill Hewitt at power stroke help, I can't take credit for that.

Finally pressure tested the intercooler. Was a bit of a pain but only one small leak so I closed tabs a bit more and it stopped it

Put it on and tightened every hose that on the engine now much better lighting now i think.

Need to cut a small but of inner tube and tie it to one pipe so it doesn't rub on the chassis.

And finally I was changing the studs on turbo to exhaust connection. Two studs replaced but one siezed solid so I've not got to try remove that then can finish the exhaust

P.s I have found a painter and may drop something to him this week if I can.

The heatshrink? Its like a tube of rubber/plastic that when heated up shrinks?
it looks just like the stuff in the ebay link.

Sorry, I meant what it's like fitted.
I also forgot to mention I cut down half them anyway then filed them and bent them down so they look standard
