I guess you could describe the heat shrink as like a tight pair of latex leggings? A tight fit over the end of the circlip.

Thanks for the advice guys, I know how heat shrink works just unsure why I would put it on the pipe clamps?
Don't personally see the need for it.

I managed to get final exhaust stud out today. Unfortunately I didn't order enough nuts for it though. I'll call and order them and a couple other little bits I need like the correct clutch pipe as they were advertised wrong
Cleaned and fitted engine covers though.

So happy that finally the engine is almost complete just a couple small bits to do.

Just to stop you catching you arms etc on the end of the clip. Slip some heat shrink over the end of jubilee clip (one tightened up) and then shrink it on.

now the biggest misktake you have made on this rebuilt ... is putting a TD5 in it! should have ran a good old 300tdi. Much more reliable and much much less electrical crap to play silly bugger... though have you replace the wiring loom that runs through the top of the engine? I am pretty sure they have been superseded as they are great for failing! stupid place to run wires.

Wash your mouth out with soap! Tractor engines should stay in tractors oh and I'd never own a poozuki, if there bikes are anything to go by they're terrible lol

As bill has said bulkhead i did. It's in the first 5pages I think.
Most of the stuff is cheap compared to the chassis
I've taken the bulkhead for painting by the way

I must say that the 300 TDI that I had in my 110 Defender a few years back towed far better than the TD5 I have now in my Disco 2 (for which I ordered a new Galvanised chassis last Monday from Richards )

Mind you the towing power was probably as much the fact that it had 90 wheels on a 110

The 300tdi is a tractor engine, the TD5 is a car engine. Mines a 300tdi for that very reason.

To be honest im Only taking the **** . My partner has a td5 and a 300tdi now. I like the 90 because it's cute but prefer the td5 engine. Much more powerful.
Wouldn't like to imagine pulling 3.5t with the 300 either. The td5 pulls it really well I thought.

I've pulled 3.5t with a TurboD, a transit Di and a 200TDi; with all three I was far more worried about my ability to stop, avoid numpties on the road and go around corners than the ability to speed up.
