We seemed to get 2 versions of the lid, plain black & flames. Both are 'true vision' but the black one has a bigger screen, unfortunately there were only the flame ones left for sale.
I was thinking about that earlier, going to get the part no from the manual & have a search online for them. If they are not easily available or expensive the mask goes back to the shop! No point in having it if you can't easily get the most common part you will need to replace!
The outer cover is a complicated curve that will be unique to that lid, the more basic lidl lid I have uses a flat cover commonly available.
I have the flame Helmet, I bought it a couple of years ago when it was on offer for about £20 and have been happy with it. Now my thoughts about replacement screens is when the screen gets too bad is to sling the whole lot in the dustbin and buy another...

you need a four poster for land rover chassis repairs , far better to jack against and lever against or put a come along round when fitting sections ,,, [ dont ask how I know ]
the lens is probably the same as something else ,, its the finding out what thats tricky though ,,, be a handy bench mask if it works though ,,

The flame version's outer cover is moulded in a compound curve so you would need an identical one to fit.
The 'spares' website from the manual doesn't exist & the 'service' website looks to be a company providing business solutions, no mention of welding masks at all!
Going to try the e-mail address but I'm not holding out much hope!
It is sad isn't it - more that we don't have the political strength to return more manufacturing capability back nearer home (and I mean that Europe wide, not just the UK).I'd just like to say it's nice to see us (me included) all continuing to boost the Chinese military industrial complex.
Not forgetting the contribution towards the UK's future landfill.

When our political masters likely have a vested interest in selling off the family jewels etc, what hope is there? That we have in the past actually allowed kit in with potential back doors and takeovers that threaten our defence beggars belief.

I picked up one of the larger screen ones yesterday and shall have a try today.
Was interested to see if the extra view made much difference, and this seemed a cheap way of finding out.
Box states a 5yr warranty.
Lots in Chippenham and Devizes as of yesterday.

Ok, I was in Lidl today, and one of the ‘flame’ helmets mysteriously fell into my basket, landing somewhere between the Cava, and the bockwurst. Not had time to use it yet, but it fits well, in fact better than the one I have, and I do like the little led light on it.
I did notice it felt heavier, but it didn’t feel unbalanced, and it’s not as if I’m wearing it for 8 hours a day, so should be fine.

Had a bit of a go with my larger screen black version.
Headband and adjustment quite good, more adjustment than my Parweld. Heavier, harder to get the perfect balance of tight enough to stay up and loose enough to nod down.
A greenish tinge to everything once welding but quite clear.
All controls outside on the left. Slider for Cut/Grind/Weld which is easier than the dial on my Parweld. Do have to remove a glove though.
Like the bigger viewport, means wearing varifocals is possible.
So far I like it.
