For a given welding current, TIG can be marginally brighter than MIG or stick, but rarely requires more than one shade difference. The Parkside helmet shade setting adjustment covers a wide range (5 to 13, or something like that).

Any helmet that is suitable for tig is suitable also for mig and arc but not all helmets that are suitable for mig and arc are also suitable for tig.

Bought one the other week and have been really impressed with it. It does say for tig on the box but I googled the levels it states and they are fine for mig welding. I would recommend them for the money. Others will be better placed to say how they stack up against the £100 helmets.
