its not uk based so not stuck with uk h&s rules

gin pole is still used here and so is man power so much for the uk h&s rules

you have to calculate cost vs man power against the cost of a crane

or days vs the crane cost say a day vs 4 days full structure up

proper steel frame lifted by a gin pole system

if your aware of cranes lifting you can lift gin polls really easily with a lift system

like on the above making a ginpole structure and make sure you tie in it correctly

5mm scaffold poles x3 or 4 with double adapter bolt on 2" angle iron like on the above video could easily make up a gin pole structure and be made to extend when needed either by a bar or lifting structure

remember the higher it goes you need tie lines

remember the main thing with gin poles it lifts better vertically not slopping or diagonal this is at critical point if diagonal lifting

building 2 of them will aid better as they share the weight

I believe that I could strengthen a scaffolding and equip it with a hoist or pulleys, ropes and winch, the "scaffolding would be
that little scaffolding on wheels that the painter uses to whitewash the walls, I think that by modifying a similar tool I could be able to put the structure in place, what do you think?

dont not strong enough for your lift better off close fixings

a 3 point metal frame that can be highered is more than enough compared to one leg lift

the 2 point pole lift bearing of 5" tree trunk x2 can handle more than you think

a 2 point system like in that pole video could handle more than enough as it spreads its load evenly

stop playing around with cost saving and stick to a decent lift otherwise go back to the pay 800-900 price tag

h frame scaffolding cant support the load as too wide spread

in fact I am afraid of the wind and the width of the truss is longer than 13 meters and weighs at least 120 kg at an altitude of 13 meters is like a kite makes a notable sail swings pitches, you are right with the crane and the sling bar that supports the truss from the exterior to prevent deformation of the structure and the load is shared by the weight of the structure. ive already done these but also pulled it up with ropes

a pole lift will allow a swing of 45 degrees as long as you are still central on its lift using 2 lifts wont but you can stabalise a lift by a far poles
same reference but uses a hydralic post lift

if your not keen on heights you could easily build these up stick 4x2 under one side and allow the other 4x2 to go higher at side of it

using this reference as temporary

this will give you a 4ft walkway per height level fastened to your steel sides if you use an 8x4 sheet

your posts go in first then your strengtheners just like in this video

i know what your thinking by using the scaffolding

you can but i wouldnt advise it due to weight issues

a gin pole using 4x2s 40ft double truss

if your so worried about heights wind then build 2 trusses up on ground level and lift via 4 ginpoles on the inside of the steel frames

using the frames as a guide with stops

I understand, you would suggest to install the pillars and then on them some bracket hooks on which to hook the hoists to lift the truss, like a circus structure or concert stage that have self-erecting structures with cable pulleys and hoists, I got it right, sorry if I'm a little slow to understand ????

in effect yes

your only lifting each pole at 3/4 of its height size as shown in this video

the reason why you would use 4 pulley blocks per pole is for ease of pull to get the basic squared roof frame onto the poles

these use direct via the motors without a pulley system

adding pulleys makes the lift easier just means longer wires or rope needed to lift each system up

note how easy it is to lift just by a hand winch fit a pulley system its even easier to lift it

heres something to aid your thinking

now times that by 4 as each pole has one on it so for sake of maths 300 x 4 1200lbs of lifting spread over the load of 4 men fit that onto a motor and its even better or winding mechanism

the video is not seen anyway, I thought correct me if I'm wrong, since the riser that supports the truss would be a wide H-beam and I think it can withstand 4000kg loaded at the tip, if I have consulted the manual well I would have to bolt on top like a bracket an extension higher than at least one meter and to it I should hook a manual chain hoist, I have 2 one of 500kg for three meters and one of 2000 kg for three meters high, only I should make this gooseneck this lifting jib, is always a truss of 13 meters of span and about 150 kg of weight at about 3 meters and on a slab on the second floor at 10 meters above the ground, right ?? correct me if I'm wrong thanks

the first 2 changes the poles strength therefore the weight is wrongly placed for light loads yes a crane type would do

to much weight top ended will snap forward if weight too much

the other 2 have issues in weight lets say you way 13 stone you lift 13 stone when you try to regrab to pull higher your one arm cannot hold 13 stone and therefore will wrip out of your hand

a pulley system works differently 13 stone divided by the number of pulleys that your using therefore your arm can hold the weight of 13 stone
