hey matey after some issues I'll text u about but if I get her running I probs could do with u and ur electric knowledge to give her the once over but I'll text u mate
well guys not much of an update got the tank all cleaned out and filled dad re threaded the bung in the tank got it all filled and primed and then the copper leaks past the the filters which have also decided to leak so got to strip that back apart and feltel around with that but ill keep you guys posted as soon as i get things further along hopefully running and with a test weld before a full resto.
well not much progress as I've been busy dad got a by pass run to the fuel rail but sadly the fuel pump is seized so got to strip it apart and repair it or find some to repair it welder is fighting me every way at the moment
The fuel pump or the lift pump?
the fuel pump is oil lubricated so first job would be drain it (if theres any oil in it) and top it up.i can show you the fill point and fill level.
there is a rack that sticks in the pump that can sometimes be easily freed up
Not exactly the same as your pump, but close enough.just ignore the position of the lift pump.
open the drain, its on the underside of yours, you need to be below and looking up to spot it.
then take the 2 bolts off the rectangular cover on the side.the rack and mechanisms for the four injectors are inside.gently pry the rack and lifters to hopefully unstick something.
replace cover, then open the fill level bolt, and fill to level
hey matey I'll give my old man a chance first to see if he can unstick it first but cheers for the offer I may have to take u up on that if it comes to that what does ur mate charge for rad hoses for the engine give me a text with the price if he does
