I will need to check, when I am back home.Is that the same as 28 second heating oil?
I am led to believe that TVO is lamp oil or kerosene.

used to do that on my uncles but it wouldnt run real smooth, by chance talking to a old boy he said chuck a handfull of mothballs in the mix (napthene) I did and for what ever reason worked a treat , dont know if it just cleaned out the lines/carb or actually changes the volatility of the mix , seemed a bit black magic/myth , but there you go it was smooth there after.Chap I spoke to a few years ago said he used 4/1 parafin/petrol as a TVO mix. Does that sound familiar?

You have to wonder who first thought of adding mothballs to the mix. "Oh, I've got a handful of mothballs. Let's add them to the tractor's fuel tank. They'll make everything run smoothly. Failing that, at least they'll keep the moths out."
Whoever it was I imagine he or she found the result was less dramatic than when the first person who decided to try an aluminum oxide and iron oxide alloy chucked his ingredients into the smelter. You have to wonder who first thought of adding mothballs to the mix. From the Hayes Book on the Tractor. Is that the same as 28 second heating oil?
Get more jerry cans and use a card only station!TVO was a way of ensuring agricultural fuel was untaxed. They did try selling petrol for agricultural use without fuel duty, like diesel, but the system was so abused they gave up. The smell alone would indicate if anyone added TVO or paraffin to their car. Also it is safer to store TVO in bulk than petrol. I work on Quads and, quite frankly, the constant filling up of petrol cans at the nearest filling station, is a pain in the bum.
That's what I doGet more jerry cans and use a card only station!
dont forget to renew it. if your not using it it still needs to be sorned
How goes the restoration?
