Price depends on application they vary quite a bit but start around £400 for something pretty basic.

I'm sure your college tutor was as good/better.

Tig weldings only 1 aspect of the tuning we do.

Sadly we don't get to make as many as we would like, but I've got a couple of batches coming up soon I think.

It's not all fun, I probably work 60+ hours a week, but it's varied, fabrication is just a small part of my job.

Have you ever done anything for a MINI (BMW)? I'm a member of a site called MINITorque, who are all about the power - one of the well known tuners (1320) has just set a personal best of 11.22 seconds for 1/4 mile.

Yes i've done the odd bits, (never do a clutch on a BMW 1 )

As for that time, that's pretty amazing, must be a turbo car and on slicks?

I wouldn't mind doing a turbo manifold etc for them as they have a lot of enthusiasts keeping them alive, there's a place near me that does parts for them. Can't think of the name now.

As far as I know, it's a MINI One with a Cooper S engine transplant - still running the supercharger I think. Not sure if that run was with NOS or not, but definitely on slicks.

There's been quite a few turbo conversions (supercharger to turbo) recently, and plenty of talk of more to come!

Where abouts are you based?

I guess it's still a good time, probably running around 400bhp.

I'm baised in Rotherham, near sheffield.

can you supply the flanges? im looking for the c20let head flange as in that manifold in stainless arounf 12mm thick?

It's going on a Cav turbo I think with a GT30 on it.

I have the 12mm C20 header flanges in stock. PM me if you want 1.

Dam, i've just made a manifold like that but didn't get chance to take pictures.

I'm guessing you mean turbo from an Evo? I've got those flanges as well if you need 1.

Here's a pic of an evo turbo going on a Civic, there's also 1 on a CRX earlier in this thread.

yep, evo 8 turbo with the larger hotside, hoping to produce around 380hp but with some strong early spool up, what was the name of the person who you made the manifold for? also the other vaux one above? i'm a regular on most of the vaux forums might know them?

i think the evo turbos going into c20let based cars is gonna be big business soon, great turbos readily available at great prices, rather than going for the garretts at twice the price!!

ive bought a ready made evo manifold to start of with, gonna tig the flange on that, then when i get better i'll start on making my own custom one, i'll keep you in mind for the turbo flange when the time comes!

There a very good turbo for 350-400bhp, the lad is somebody local to me. Not really an internet user, although I know a few in the Vauxhall scene.

I think there will be a lot on Vauxhalls, i've thought about some turbo kits.
