I'm a fellow Evo owner , proper Evo though , a VI
Just in the process of a 500 BHP ATW engine build. It's one of my ambitions to make my own exhaust manifold , have the TIG gear but not the skill ATM !!
Guess I'll just have to practice on some bits until I hone myself to a level where I can produce something reasonable.
Or I could just buy a manifold from you
Was at Autosport show on Friday , this caught my eye :-

I've got a Vi as well, what turbo/kit you going to run? I ran about 550 ATW on my last build with a GT40, did a GT35 before than and no just finishing a twin turbo.

Yes as you see in that pic thats my back purge setup. Earlier in the thread there will be some pictures of the inside I think. I'll grab some next time i'm working on something that you can see the inside.
Snows only just gone up here, till its dry its pointless as just wheelspins. Took the time to remove the fuel tank etc to make a new 1, with bigger fuel pumps etc while i'm waiting for parts to build the new engine.

I was toying with the idea of a twin compound turbo set up too !
Did wonder about that setup at Autosport , it looks like a drag car install , primary's that long have gotta be laggy on a road car !

its just getting time with your own cars.It's not so much the lag, the collector looked horrible, angles were very sharp and the little bit they'd added on to enable the wastegate didn't look good for flow.

I spoke to the guy on the stand about that motor. Believe it not, it's full of concrete, to stop it from exploding, only runs for 6-8secs at a time

Ye they do this a lot in the states to stop the block cracking.
I think it will be a 4g64 destroked to a 2.2 or something smaller. This gives a little less torque but you can do more rpm's due to the rod ratio, head flow etc, high RPM's are more important in a drag car than low down torque that just breaks things.
Yes, "Butch" (the nickname of my apprentice) This robot's a mini him, it will probably be more useful most of the time
and when i do something stupid like forget the purge pipe, or cut something 2 small, I can throw things at him 
Something else a little different, an inlet manifold, this is just a rough version hence why I didn't "waste" the Velocity stacks, these would normally be welded on first.

looking good rick, are the v stacks from a solid billet?
Yes, all 60+ of them, they weren't cheap!
hi, nice work with the manifolds, what basis did you design your inlet from, how did you know how much volume and how much to taper it off etc? how much would it cost for you to part with some of them stacks? to save me having to mess around and turn some?

Its designed on solidworks. We cover all aspects of tuning, so I had a good idea of what works and what doesn't. Started with this then did various flow simulations. Baised on different power levels etc worked out the airflow in CFM and entered that into the software. It then gives you speed data for each port and each part of the inlet.
The velocity stacks for these inlets are small. 36mm ID 44mm OD. What car are they for? I'm having some bigger 1's machined in a couple of weeks, depends on your power and the size of the stock head at the moment.
