They’re full size top wheels

Totally random question - I have a resin cast plaque ornament that my son loves - it's about a foot square; 1 inch thick. But being resin, it's brittle / fragile; and son really upset that a piece got knocked off. This thread makes me wonder if it could be cast in iron (or same metal as these wheels as finish looks truly lovely. Many questions - minimum order for the foundry; ball park cost; would painted resin suffice as a former etc. Who could I approach for a quick chat ?

I think there’s an aluminium foundry in Warwick near the hospital, maybe they could do it. I don’t know what they do but I drove past it a few weeks ago

Had a spare half hour so made the nut to go with aero wheel pressure screw .
Preload nut was groved and a plastic ring to make a stiff nut arrangement

I subbed this one out , I did the work’s drawings and sent them to a pal who’s a pattern maker. It’s always a pleasure giving a craftsman work( I don’t mean tradey semi skilled site monkeys )

a mate of mine had a house built all oak stairs and rails oak kitchen and doors by a joiner . hardly a site monkey or a chancer . served his time and worked for years at mousey thompsons it doesnt get any better. he built a massive conservatory out of green oak roof was built on floor and lifted on with a crane weighing 3 tone
