Yes thats correct + vat + delivery, but that does not include the cross rails that go from side to side or the ladder section that goes from side to side behind the bumper.
I didnt get the doors with the job lot i got them myself, but i had a rebuilt engine and loads of new panels, including new steel rear wings as well as loads of mechanical parts. So for £600 i got a good deal.
Strangely i have just found out that since the new computerised MOT has come in the structural wood work is no longer included. Apparantly there is no section on the MOT to check this. Seems silly to me as its still a structural part of the vehicle.

Well as i work on my traveller out side i wrapped it up for the winter, but now we have had some nice weather i was itching to get back to it. So here are some updated pictures from the last week.
I havent cleaned the dum dum sealer from off the guttering yet, it is actually better than the photo shows it as.

Might be worth taking it to an older/smaller testing station who understands older cars rather than a modern drive thru with "spotty oik" who expects servo assisted disc brakes etc.

I have a testing station just 1 mile from me that i have used ever since i can drive ( 24years ). The guy who owns it now was a mechanic back then but bought the original owner out years ago, i did work for him on and off too so i know i can trust him. He always moans at whatever car i take in though.

Had some time on the moggy again today, fitted new aluminium carpet strips in the rear, and the rear seat belts (not normal fitment but as my kids will travel in it i thought it best to put some in). Fitted one front seat and then run out of bolts to fit the other. Started fitting the carpet then run out of contact adhesive. Fitted the exhaust hangers, window wipers, bonnet rubber buffers, rubber stops in the rear window rails, wired in the front lights and finally fitted the wing mirrors. Not many photos as the jobs were small and wont actually show on pictures but heres a few. Hope you like them.

The chrome strips remind me of those used in a hearse! but a nice job all the same.

A question, were rear seat belts ever fitted to that model?

The strips were originally fitted as new, but surprisingly the morris minor shops no longer sell them. I had to get these from a vintage spares supplier in 2mtr lengths then cut and polish them.
No rear seatbelts were never fitted to any of the minors, but i thought it safer with the kids travelling in it. These are aftermarket ones from the morris minor spares shop.

You have probably over engineered the seat belt mounting points as it's your kids, but how do you get on with insurance, mot, etc.?

Mot isnt a problem, as they are fitted they are checked just the same as the rears in my discovery are. The insurance will be told, it is a normal modification so i dont think there will be any problems.

Don't like the aftermarket rear seatbelts - they won't offer any restraint. Try them - Secure a child in there, unbolt the rear seat back, lock the belt and then see where the child ends up when you push the seat forwards.

There's no high up structure to mount the reels to. Might be worth mounting them to the top of the rear wheelarches (as far rearwards as possible) - would be better but not perfect.

These belts are the only ones available and are not long enough to mount far back on the arch, and no one would be in the seat without the rear seat locked. I know they are not ideal but as these cars never had them fitted, anything is better than not having any at all.

The rear seat won't be locked in a crash. Forces involved are quite high and will break the catches.

You would be better with lap belts if you use those mounting points - they would stop the kids flying through the screen. Otherwise Securon do aftermarket 3 point belts that are plenty long enough to mount further back.

No belt is going to be good in these as they were never meant to have them fitted, and the seat will give no matter what belts are fitted i suppose. I can see your point but they are fitted to the manufacterers instructions so should be better than not having anything at all. They arnt there to hold a child seat or anything as my kids are bigger than me. I know that doesnt make any difrence so will see what the mot man says when i take it in, i have known him for years so if there is anything he isnt keen on he wont hesitate to let me know.
