I was going to suggest simply stop fighting with them and give them names.Just don't start talking TO them.
a suicide bomber thenA couple of rednecks thought it would be funny to strap a stick of dynamite to a rabbit anticipating it going down a hole and blowing up the warren. They lit the fuse and put the rabbit down. It promptly ran under their truck.
I did read they are inedible?
We get a few but Im not that worried as mostly they are down in the paddocks, the issue comes when the runs collapse as it leaves quite a trip hazard for the HorsesWhy kill the poor little blighters? Not hurting anyone just makes the garden look untidy!
We sometimes get an invasion of woodmice. Now they DO cause havoc. Chewed through a waterpipe - what idiots use plastic pipes in a country house? Anyway we were lucky and heard it go - under bath so easy access. I use live traps and then drive them 2 miles away and release in the forest near a picnic site. Even take a supply of nuts for them

I read that as "woodlice" . . . I was then impressed at the teeth on woodlice in your area, but wondered about the quality of cleaning in your house if they were able to mass enough to chew through pipes . . . but the rest made no sense until I re-read it . . .Why kill the poor little blighters? Not hurting anyone just makes the garden look untidy!

And when they are nice and relaxed shoot them.I was going to suggest simply stop fighting with them and give them names.
Your new pets....
Maybe treat them like squirrels, and build some games/excercise for them.....
The water table is so high round here they would need sub aqua gear.
