Nice work there Ian, that sort of job isn't something i would attempt to sort out myself, not yet anyway lol.
Did you use any weld through primer behind the scuttle panel you did so well ?

hi no i dont use weld through primer as in the past i've used the upol one and it just came of in big flakes so i use bonda primer i've used this with good results for years i even paint the areas where i'll be plug welding and so long as it's not put on too thick doesn't seem to cause any problems.

keep saying i'll take more pics but when i get into it just forget plus i think my camera's about had it as recent pics seem way to dark down to dropping it maybe

No lover of Fords of that era. But One understands why prototypes for shows cost millions to hand build. Very nice work, esp with the tools shown.

cut more rot out of the inner wing think i've got it all now
then made a repair panel not too fussy as most of it is covered by the washer bottle which due to this car having headlamp washers is huge! 
and started trimming it to fit but had to stop due to my neighbour complaining about the noise at 3.30 in the afternoon!!! (didn't start till 3!!) different when i've been at work all night and they start hoovering loudly at 5AM!!!! GGRRRRR!

hey everyone got abit more done on tuesday managed to get the repair panels to fit together reasonably well so started tacking them together and made sure the battery tray will fit then added more tacks. i know the panels look abit rough but i think they'll be ok considering i'm not aiming for concours! tried to load more pics but get the message "Your submission could not be processed because a security token was missing." any ideas?
i had that problem trying to load too many pics at once try uploading one at a time it worked for me
