I know a lot of the posts regarding the Harrison are parts cleaning tasks. But there is a lot of small detail work that I dont show.
Micro polishing the insides of the bushes and deburr the oil ways. I polish those to. All the gears get dressed with a fine file. All those time consuming tasks really make a difference on the finished piece.

I know you couldn’t possibly show the cleaning of every part, but I think many of the collective, myself included would be very interested in seeing your processes. Possibly you could start a thread showing how you attack, say a casting and a machined part from start to finish.

Unless it’s one of those, if I told you, I would have to kill you things

Actually I’ve not seen the whole letters painted before, only the top edge. Have to say it doesn’t look bad either way. Nice work as usual - your output is far more consistent than mine, I have multiple projects all crying for attention

Gearbox almost complete.
Just a few bits to do. What a task that was.

Got the last of the gearbox done.
And then set about the task of sorting out the seized surface/sliding gear and shaft. The Oiler had been completely blocked resulting in a completely seized gear.its taken almost two days of very fine file work and alot of polishing to get it right. Also re filed the oil valley. Now fits great and rotates as should. The end of the shaft needs repair work. That's next.

Cup tea in hand. And uncover the machinery for oil up and carriage removal for the Harrison

I wasn't happy with this gear. Just a little rough. So a few hours of work sorted that out .

Everything gets stripped and then goes through a few stages of cleaning before any repair work is needed.
