I tried someone this year
Messed up the job so I paid them to try again and had to buy more material and spend a day machining the blank
If I mess up I work late to sort it and buy materials with my money.
A employee wants wages for doing it wrong and wages for trying again, no accountability which a nobody like me can’t sustain

And one of the reasons we closed the workshop. When it went wrong, staff are at home, while muggins was there in the evening/weekend sorting it all out.

Still remember being in the cark park, bonnet up on a car, trying to sort out some drama, with 2 of the chaps watching me, when a new customer turns up, walks over, introduces himself, and says, so you must be the owner. I said, yes, how do you know that, answe was, because you are the one doing the work.

Aero cowling wheel progress
The main shaft was ground wrong by the hideously expensive contractor..
Managed to tickle off .0002 and it slides like a hydraulic valve . Lucky Devlieg can achieve grinding tolerances so bore was dead true
