never had that hold up on mot having had to replace bulbs etc for the centre light not working or the mot favourite "inneffective"???
Vcds is a no brainer if you got a few vehicles to play with.
Just a couple of codings make it pay for itself.
Like putting retrofit items in to cars to get full functionality.
I do like what you done with the headliner.
But didnt know about the caddy maxi life mirror swap. They look awesome compaired to the wacky 2 different sized mirrors.

I know right! The old elephant ears are terrible. There are ppl hacking about the late model Touran ones and grafting the caddy base on to them but at best it’s a bodge imo. I think traveling lite did them but they’re over £250. I paid £150 plus 2 x new mirror glasses (£34).
Just fitted two more vents too and they have a pull out centre which creates more air velocity, it’s crazy how much extra air they put out.
I decided to hack up my Belkin QI wireless charger and soldered on a 5v converter to pins 1&5 of the micro usb track and suspended it on 2 x pieces of 19mm ply then sat the rubber mat back on top so I now have a charging plate in the centre console.

I need to run a new supply to it but there aren’t enough spare ways in the fuse box. Now VW sell what they call repair wires which you can add to create extra fused ways. They’re about a fiver each and by sliding across the purple retainers you can then pop them in.
So lil old cheapskate here, £20 spent in my local breakers gained me a used fused box from a Touran. If you slide out the purple retainers about 10mm and pop a screw driver down both sides of the crimp you can then remove the fused outlet then add it to your fuse box.
I’ve ended up with about 15 for £20 and bonus is it comes with a load of fuses. So I’ll be adding a few new fused supplies shortly. I’ll post pics once I’m in there.

Hey guys, not been in here for a while.
Recently found a set of aftermarket 19” Audi alloys for £100. They had these weird stainless plates in the centre of each spoke and removing them caused the studs to shear which meant 40 welds to allow the nuts on the backs to be removed.
One needed a few welds as it was cracked, (I suspect from run flats???). I cleaned up the edges and got them to my mate for powder coating.
Gotta collect them on Tuesday and get some rubber fitted.

You need high temp stuff. There are plenty of off the shelf options.
